Dr. Holly VanderWalde, PhD is a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland. Dr. VanderWalde specializes in child and adolescent psychology, but is trained in all aspects of psychology and counseling. She is passionate about helping children and their families receive diagnostic clarity to help make informed and appropriate treatment recommendations for optimal future success.
Dr. VanderWalde graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and received her graduate school training from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) where she received a Masters and PhD in Human Services Psychology with a focus on Child Clinical Psychology.
Through her doctoral training, Dr. VanderWalde worked at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., as well as within charter schools in D.C., completing various practicums in these settings. Dr. VanderWalde worked as a psychological associate at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, where she also completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship. Upon completion of her training, Dr. VanderWalde continued working as a licensed psychologist at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital and, more recently, started her own private practice.
Dr. VanderWalde specializes in psychological assessment and therapy for a wide-range of presenting concerns-- including academic, social, emotional, and behavioral issues. Her expertise includes providing assessments and evaluations for children and young adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, as well as other social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Additionally, she is well trained in treatment and therapy of presenting concerns mentioned above, as well as pediatric feeding disorders, childhood obesity, and diabetes.
Dr. Lindsay Gavin is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She has worked clinically in many different settings over the years, including outpatient clinics, inpatient settings within hospitals, schools, private practice, and child advocacy centers.
She completed her clinical internship/residency year at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology (CMTP) at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine. She expertise in providing clinical services to children and families across a range of social-emotional, behavioral and learning challenges, as well as expertise in psychoeducational, psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
Dr. Lindsay Gavin also currently works as a pediatric psychologist at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH) in Baltimore, MD. MWPH serves children with complex medical and behavioral health needs. She is the creator and coordinator of the Trauma and Healing Program at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, which provides psychological evaluation, intervention, consultation and community-based services for children and families impacted by trauma. She is trained in evidence-based treatments for trauma, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Attachment-Regulation and Competency (ARC), the Chicago Parenting Program (CPP) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), among other evidence-based interventions.
Dr. Robinson Gold is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Maryland. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. Dr. Gold works with children, adolescents, and young adults providing comprehensive evaluations, where she strives to build strong connections with children and their families to best provide individualized recommendations, resources, and next steps for success. Her expertise includes providing assessments and evaluations for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, ADHD and executive functioning disorders, depression and anxiety disorders, and additional cognitive and social/emotional/behavioral challenges.
Dr. Gold completed her APA-approved Internship in Pediatric Psychology at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (MWPH) in Baltimore, Maryland. During this time, she honed her skills in general therapy and comprehensive psychological assessment, as well as provided services to children and their families in specialized medical clinics (pediatric obesity, feeding disorders, diabetes, and other medical conditions). Dr. Gold completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at MWPH as well, specializing in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders, as well as comprehensive evaluations assessing cognitive ability, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning in order to provide diagnostic clarity.
Upon completion of her training, Dr. Gold worked as a licensed psychologist and senior psychologist at MWPH, conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations focusing on the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disorders within the Autism Spectrum Center (ASC), as well as comprehensive evaluations assessing cognitive ability, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. Currently, Dr. Gold also works at a private practice in Rockville, MD.
